why

Many youth struggle to define a career pathway after high school due to a lack of preparation and experience. They choose a career path that “sounds cool” but become disillusioned with the reality of the work involved. Youth from low-income and underprivileged backgrounds face additional obstacles because of a lack of resources, opportunities for career exploration, and information about career readiness. Limited exposure to various possibilities can often lead to misinformed decisions that have long-term negative impacts.
