Our college prep workshops provide essential guidance and resources to help youth navigate the path to higher education. From application strategies to financial aid tips, we equip participants with the tools for academic success.
Career building workshops focus on practical skills such as resume writing, interview techniques, and networking. These workshops are designed to enhance professional readiness and empower youth to pursue their career aspirations.

Through ongoing youth development opportunities, we cultivate leadership skills and encourage youth to become active stewards of positive change in their communities.

Youth Development Projects
Preparing today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders

The MYPI Leadership Cohort is a prestigious program that nurtures emerging leaders through mentorship, workshops, and hands-on projects. Participants develop critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills essential for future success.
As part of the Leadership Cohort, participants engage in policy advocacy work, advocating for issues that impact their communities. Through research and community engagement, they drive meaningful policy change.

The Youth Impact Leaders program empowers interns to take leadership roles within MYPI, overseeing program areas and initiatives. Interns gain valuable experience in nonprofit management and community leadership. This helps include the youth voice in all MYPI programming areas.
Education
Teaching and training youth and adults of all ages

MYPI offers tutoring services to support youth in academic subjects and skill development, fostering academic achievement and personal growth.

The COVID Education initiative educates youth and communities about COVID-19 prevention, vaccination, and health safety measures, empowering them to make informed decisions for their well-being.

Our Python programming classes give youth the opportunity to gain real-life skills in coding and computational thinking. Participants learn to develop software applications and solve real-world problems.
Participants gain practical experience in developing software applications, preparing them for a career in technology and beyond.

The purpose of this partnership is to connect Afghan refugee students who recently arrived in the United States with more exposure to the English language through conversation and read-alouds. This program is an opportunity for you as a youth to develop your leadership skills, reading skills, and cultural awareness and appreciation. Additionally, this program will allow you as a volunteer to integrate your volunteering skills and develop a love for community engagement.

Service Projects
Educating and advocating for community members.

Our Tax Credit Project educates community members about tax benefits and assists eligible individuals in claiming credits, thereby strengthening financial stability and promoting economic empowerment.

Through our Census Project, youth play a crucial role in promoting census participation within underrepresented communities, ensuring accurate representation and equitable resource allocation.

The Health Equity Project addresses disparities in healthcare access and outcomes by advocating for policies that promote equitable health services and conducting community health education initiatives.
Career Prep
Helping youth and young adults enter the workforce

Industry leaders meet with our youth once a month and describe their fields of work, and answer any questions the youth might have. (Starting in 2025)

Hiring Managers conduct mock interviews in order to help the youth get ready to apply for internships and full-time employment. (Starting 2025)
