Osman Osman

Osman Osman is a 17 year old senior at Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado. Osman is a dedicated member of the MYPI family and loves to give back to the community. He currently is a Youth Ambassador in the Adopt-A-Family Program. Osman's goals are to go to a 4 year university and go to Medical School in hopes of becoming a doctor InshaAllah. He hopes to continue to be of service to those in need in the future. Not only does he find the art of medicine to be fascinating, but simply being able to assist others in a remarkable way and build meaningful relationships with others is something that he greatly admires. Osman believes that being able to aid others in opinion is truly a noble act. Furthermore, as a Muslim, he feels that it is vital that he always strive to aid others. Allah (swt) says in the Quran, "And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters." (Surah Luqman, Ayah 22). Osman wants to ensure that he is always fulfilling one of the most profound roles bestowed to us inherently as Muslims--supporting others.

"What I love about MYPI is that it is giving me the ability to do something for my community about an issue that deeply resonates with me. While I was born in America, my mother was born in Ethiopia and my father in Sudan, and in the face of immense challenges such as war breaking out, my parents were forced to migrate to the U.S. whereupon they would begin new lives. Their stories always amaze me and truly provide insight into the grueling hardships refugees (who in most cases have been forced to depart their homes and places of birth due to means outside of their control) must experience daily. Through MYPI's Adopt-A-Family Program, I will be able to be an asset to this community and relieve some of the burdens faced by one of the most hardworking groups of people in the world. InshaAllah, I can follow in the footsteps of my Prophet (SAW) and uplift the well-being of those within my community."- Osman Osman

Please join us in recognizing Osman for his commitment, all his amazing achievements and service to the community. MYPI appreciates all your hard work in creating a positive impact on our community.  We are blessed to have you as part of the MYPI family.

Keep up the great work!
